PyCon Austria conferences were not created out of thin air, instead the organizing team could build upon the work done and the experience gained by previous Python conferences in Austria:
PyCon Austria 2025
PyCon Austria 2025, the first ever "official" PyCon (Python conference) in Austria took place at the University of Applied Sciences (UAS) Burgenland in Eisenstadt on 6th and 7th April 2025, supported by the local Linux day of Linuxwochen Eisenstadt and by the Python User Group Austria. The conference, a free and public event, attracted over 200 visitors from all over the world.

PyDays Vienna 2019
PyDays Vienna 2019 took place on 3rd and 4th May 2019 at the UAS Technikum Wien. It was a free and public event and part of the local Linux day.
